After many confirmations that they would be coming back this year, YG Entertainment has finally given us an album date for Big Bang’s highly anticipated comeback!
The boys of Big Bang will finally reunite and are set to release a new album on February 25th!
YG Entertainment stated: “Though the details of the album, such as tracklists and title songs haven’t been announced, their first set of comeback performances will take place during the string of concerts of the ‘2011 BIG SHOW’ on February 25 to 27th.”
For the past two years, Big Bang had stopped all domestic activites to promote in Japan and leave room for the member’s solo activities. In 2009 G-Dragon released his solo album and last year Taeyang released his own solo album along with an International edition. Taeyang’s tracks were released in the US and Canada iTunes stores where it topped the R&B album charts at #1 and #2 in North American and Asia.
YG then also went on to explain why Big Bang decided to perform their new songs at a concert first instead of going through the traditional string of network shows. They stated that they wanted to showcase all the hard work from this album all at once for their fans to see at concerts.
